CHRIS van der Kuyl's 4J Studios is among the largest ever Scottish delegation attending the Game Developers' Conference in the United States this week.

Representatives from the company, which has helped take the hugely popular Minecraft onto games consoles such as the XBox, will be attending the forum in San Francisco.

Among the 33 Scottish businesses attending are Serious Parody, A Fox Wot I Drew, Beartrap Games, Tag Games, Outplay Entertainment and Team Rock.

There are also 29 Scottish firms with mobile device ambitions, including fast growing travel search firm Skyscanner, are also jetting out to Barcelona this week to attend the Mobile World Congress.

Others attending in Spain include wireless data firm pureLi-Fi, vet app developer Cojengo and mapping platform eeGeo.

The delegations are being supported by Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International.
