SFE sees small loss after network study

THE membership body for the financial services industry in Scotland has reported a small loss after investing £10,000 in a study about technology needs.

Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) said the research had come up with new data on the industry and allayed concerns Scotland's ICT infrastructure was not as good as competitors.

Accounts filed at Companies House show SFE's turnover, which is mainly drawn from membership fees from almost 100 businesses and organisations, was down from £558,434 to £539,188 in 2011 and it slipped into the red with last year's £14,119 pre-tax profit turning into a £9678 pre-tax loss.
