SNOOZEBOX Holdings has seen its share price rise by more than eight per cent after winning a contract with oil and gas giant Premier Oil in the Falkland Islands.

The company has clinched a deal to provide temporary accommodation for Premier workers in the South Atlantic.

The portable hotel provider, whose facilities were used during the Commonwealth Games and at the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles this year, will deploy a temporary 80-bedroom hotel from existing stock.

It has been contracted to provide the hotel for a year, with the accommodation opening on February 1.

Facilities at the hotel will include a gym, dining and social spaces.

Snoozebox chief executive Lorcan O Murchu said: "I am pleased to be partnering with Premier Oil to deliver a fully serviced turnkey hotel, ensuring their workforce are accommodated and catered for effectively.

"We are seeing increasing demand from the energy and construction sectors for our complete hotel solution and our higher quality accommodation."

Premier is a FTSE 250 company with interests in the North Sea, South East Asia and Pakistan.

Shares in Snoozebox Holdings, whose president is former F1 driver David Coulthard, closed up 0.75p at 10p.
