Software firm in £300,000 Avincis deal

RESCUE: Gael's software deal will see its product used by Avincis member Bond Aviation Group, which operates in the North Sea.

East Kilbride-based Gael is supplying its Q-pulse system across Avincis's global operations. The initial three-year agreement covers a fleet of 400 aircraft across almost 300 operating bases in nine countries.

The technology provides a common platform for Avincis – which includes North Sea operator Bond Aviation Group plus air ambulance and search and rescue services – to share safety information and practices.

Gael's global aviation business manager Craig Baker said: "We had worked closely with both Bond and INAER, two companies which make up a high percentage of the Avincis Group, for a number of years and the new deal was a huge endorsement in terms of the success of our relationship. We welcome the group decision to extend their relationship with us."

Avincis group safety director Simon Stewart said: "We see the implementation of Q-Pulse across the group as a key element of our integrated safety management system capability."
