According to figures acquired by the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe), the number of Scottish companies with listings on the UK main and Aim markets has declined from a high of 80 in October 2007 to 58 in November 2011.

Steep fall in the number of listed Scottish companies
The number of Scottish companies listed on the UK stock exchange has declined by one-third since 2007, new research by the Scottish Parliament has revealed.
