Media group STV has agreed to a 10-year renewal of its broadcast licences for central Scotland and Grampian.

Each of the licences was due to expire at the end of this year.

However as part of its awards for the Channel 3 and Channel 5 licences regulator Ofcom has awarded STV the maximum extension possible.

It means the Scottish company will keep broadcasting in the central Scotland and Grampian regions until at least the end of 2024.
