HSBC is considering selling off its high street bank which could speed up its exit from the UK, according to the Sunday Times.

The retail arm could fetch up to £20 billion with HSBC considering various options ahead of ring-fencing regulations, to split investment and retail banking operations, which come into force in 2019.

Adobe is preparing a bid for British visual effects software maker The Foundry, says the Sunday Telegraph. The London firm, owned by private equity firm Carlyle, counts Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures and Pixar among its clients. It is expected to fetch between £150m and £200m.

Mobile phone maker Bullitt, known for the toughness of its models which has made it favourite among builders, is launching a range of speakers and headphones.

The Mail on Sunday says the firm will partner with music brand Ministry of Sound on the venture.

Edinburgh based healthcare analytics firm Aridhia has promoted Chris Roche to the chief executive role, according to Scotland on Sunday. Mr Roche had been chief operating officer but will take over in his new role from company co-founder David Sibbald, who is moving to be executive chairman.

Stephen Hester is facing a shareholder backlash over his £2.1million salary and bonus package at insurer RSA.

The Sunday Times says investor Cevian, which has a 13 per cent stake in RSA, is prepared to vote against Mr Hester's remuneration.
