AN online takeaway company has been named most visionary business at the BT Scotland Young E-ntrepreneurs Awards.

Scoffable was set up by Michael Brown, 24, and business partner Daniel Jones, also 24, in 2010 during their final year at Heriot Watt University.

Mr Jones developed a programme to allow customers to place orders online which then sends the instructions to a customised printer in the food outlet.

The Livingston business has now signed up 60 outlets in West Lothian and plans to expand.

Ashley Bryant, of Edinburgh property letting firm Bryant Residential Services, received the best website award and hopes to expand into Glasgow, Hamilton and Dunfermline.

Art and Sea founder Leonie Woolf, based in Taynuilt in Argyll, won best e-commerce business for the custom design boat graphics business she founded.

The most environmentally responsible business was arts and crafts hub I Heart Art in Aberdeen, set up by Janet Shek and Mitchell Liddell.
