Timber company profits hit

TIMBER and forestry management company Scottish Woodlands has declared its latest financial results are in with budget projections, in spite of profits narrowing.

The Edinburgh-based business has booked pre-tax profits fall to £627,000 in the year to September 30, down from £842,000 the year before.

New accounts at Companies House show turnover at the largely employee-owned firm held broadly steady at £63.9m.
