TWO Glasgow companies have been honoured at the fourth annual UK Energy Innovation Awards.
Smarter Grid Solutions took home the award for best smart grid innovation. It saw the firm partner SSE Power Distribution to launch the UK's first smart grid in Orkney.
Consultancy and software company Open Grid System won the international trade award for strong overseas sales of its tablet application. The app gives network operators an augmented reality view of their assets out in the field. The firm has clients in North America and Europe.
