Topps Tiles has said like-for like sales lifted 5.9 per cent in the 13 weeks to June 27, compared with a rise of 6.3 per cent a year ago, driven by new ranges.

The group, which opened its first store in 1963, said it launched two core outlets and six boutiques during the period as well as launching 14 new ranges.

The firm said it currently has 346 stores and expects to end the year with 348 outlets.
