Wind farm developers to share SPR's radar data

ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) has agreed to let four wind farm developers share data from its £5 million radar station in Kincardine.

The site was built in 2006 to overcome concerns from Glasgow Airport and National Air Traffic Services ahead of work on Whitelee wind farm.

The deal to allow other developers, which include Gamesa and Muirhall Energy, to access the data is a first for the industry and could unblock up to 110 megawatts of renewable energy.
