IMPACT Selector has bought Aberdeenshire based oil services specialist Wireline Engineering for an undisclosed sum.

The US company, which already has a Scottish base in the Dyce area of Aberdeen, said the combined business will have a staff of around 35 in Scotland.

It said it will be looking to grow the number of products offered and the places it sells into.

Wireline has customers in more than 50 countries at the moment.

Directors Alan Gordon, Alistair Inglis and Don Mitchell are staying with the company following the deal.

Mr Gordon said the transaction will allow the company to give better value for customers and offer more opportunities to staff.
