Wood Group in Iraq deal

WOOD Group is expanding in Iraq after winning a multimillion-pound contract to supply services in support of DNO International's efforts to boost output from the giant Tawke oil field, in the Kurdistan region.

David Clark, Middle East regional director for the Aberdeen-based firm's Wood Group PSN unit, said: "The strategic importance of this contract is significant. Iraq is an oil and gas region of enormous potential growth, especially for Wood Group PSN because of the extensive number of brownfield facilities."

Wood Group PSN is assigning a team of 30 engineers to the contract.
