The oil services firm said its Wood Group GTS arm now offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Solar Mars, Siemens SGT 200 (Tornado) and Siemens SGT 100 (Typhoon) gas turbines.
The Aberdeen-based company invested in workshop resources and staff training to support the move. Around 800 people work for Wood Group GTS in Scotland, where the group employs 8000 people in total.
Wood Group GTS increased earnings before interest, tax and amortisation by 6.6%, to $40.6m, in the six months to June from $38.1m in the same period last time.
It said maintenance revenue was broadly in line with the first half of 2012 and benefited from strength in oil and gas related work.
