World Cup boost for John Lewis

John Lewis said weekly revenues were 18.2% higher in the week to last Saturday after a 25% jump in electrical and home technology sales.

The growth was driven by white goods and televisions ahead of the World Cup. Online sales rose by 31% while the John Lewis store at High Wycombe saw a 43% lift.
