Wren & Bell, the Edinburgh consultancy, has become the latest acquisition for infrastructure and planning adviser Peter Brett Associates.
The Scottish firm was established in 1981as a structural, civil and environmental practice, and is said to have a solid foothold in the residential and universities sector, including lengthy partnerships with both Edinburgh and St Andrews universities. Its long-term clients also include major land developers in Scotland and across the UK.
It is best known for its expertise in environmental consultancy, and has advised many of Scotland's industrial and commercial businesses in dealing with the increasingly complex field of environmental legislation.
Peter Brett, based in Reading, Berkshire, employs 725 from 20 locations after a string of mergers in the past four years. It already has a foothold in Scotland following the acquisition of Hannah-Reed in 2013.
