YOUNG Enterprise Scotland (YES) is now getting its IT services from one of the businesses it helped to support.

Glasgow based PCR, founded by entrepreneur Nick Cohen and now part of Abica Telecoms, has taken on the contract for Glasgow based YES's technology support.

Mr Cohen, who set up his first company at 13, has previously given up his own time as an adviser on YES's company development programme.

The 24-year-old, who is currently involved in speaking at Bridge 2 Business events in colleges across Glasgow, said: "The inspiration that YES gave me whilst at school has proven to be invaluable throughout my career so far.

"To also be called upon in a business capacity - as their official IT provider - is a privilege and a great testament of the work YES does."

Geoff Leask, YES chief executive, said: "Nick and PCR are a great example that demonstrate that taking the time to inspire young budding entrepreneurs really does pay off, providing not only a high quality service in their business but employment opportunities for others."

PCR currently employs 12 people and manages the IT requirements of hundreds of companies across Scotland.
