ALTIA-ABM, which develops software for use in the fight against crime, is targeting a major expansion of its Canadian operations by opening a Toronto office and creating a dedicated business development team.

The Glasgow group noted its software, used by every police force in the UK and many others around the world, was aimed at helping investigators with financial and criminal investigations and the management of covert and intelligence operations.

It said that, in Canada, federal law enforcement agencies and other government agencies already used its financial investigation software, and cited “substantial interest across the country in all the software products the group provides”.

Beverly Golchuk, an experienced sales and business development executive, will be the group’s national sales manager in Canada. Retired police officer George Harrison will be business development director in Canada.
