SUPERMARKET group J Sainsbury has been linked with a takeover bid for Palmer & Harvey (P&H), the tobacco, alcohol and grocery wholesaler.
The speculation comes after P&H was reportedly put up for sale, and hard on the heels of Tesco’s £3.7 billion bid for wholesaler Booker. Sainsbury’s recently acquired Argos owner Home Retail Group.
