60% rise in profit pleases NatSemi directors Greenock plant is praised

DIRECTORS of National Semiconductor’s Scottish plant said the operation is well placed to cope with the challenges that lie ahead, after the business grew annual operating profits by 60%.

Latest accounts for the company’s plant in Greenock, which operates as National Semiconductor UK, show that the company made an operating profit of $18.9 million (£11.7m) in the 52 weeks to 30 May.
