Dana said yesterday its Fin-1X well had encountered good-quality oil bearing sands.
The well was drilled to 10,038 feet and flowed at 1049 barrels of oil per day.

Dana oil discovery piles pressure on revised KNOC bid
Aberdeen-based oil and gas explorer Dana Petroleum has increased the pressure on prospective bidder Korean National Oil Corporation (KNOC) by announcing the discovery of a new oil field in Egypt.
