Easydate shares soared 12p or 13.3% to 102.5p yesterday after it announced a maiden first-half profit of just under £2m, compared to just under £1m for the whole of 2009.
Bill Dobbie, chief executive of internet dating operator Easydate, is sitting on a £10.4 million paper profit on his 32.5% stake in the company, less than three months after it listed on the stock exchange.
