FORMER Halifax Bank of Scotland chief executive Andy Hornby has relinquished his second top post in two years after announcing his resignation as boss of high street chemist Alliance Boots with immediate effect.
Mr Hornby insisted he wanted to “take a break” from corporate life, and privately-owned Alliance Boots said it continued to trade well.
