Good businesses ‘being starved of cash by banks’

One of Scotland’s leading business angels said that banks are starving good firms of money, whatever they may say about maintaining lending, and warned the resulting shortage of cash could take a heavy toll on hopefuls.

Geoffrey Thomson, chief executive of Braveheart Investment Group, waded into the debate about whether banks are supporting firms in the recession by coming down firmly on the side of the critics of lenders.
