World Cup boosts Goals after winter blues

East Kilbride-based five-a-side football operator Goals Soccer Centres saw profits fall 3% in the first half of the year thanks to snowy weather but says it is still enjoying a post-World Cup boom.

Goals’ adjusted profit before tax was £3.8 million in the six months to the end of June, £100,000 down on the same period last year.
