Thirteen store, dairy-bred bullocks sold to 170.9p and averaged 164.8p.

Wallets Marts sold 77 store heifers in Castle Douglas yesterday to a top of 256.2p and an average of 214.4p (-4.8p on the fortnight), while 183 store bullocks peaked at 251.9p and levelled at 219p (-12.1p).

John Swan Ltd sold 53 prime heifers in St Boswells yesterday to a top of 248p and an average of 223.6p (-3.2p on the week), while 24 prime bullocks peaked at 249p and levelled at 228.8p.

Four prime bulls sold to 218p and averaged 203.1p.

In the rough ring 43 beef-type cows averaged 130.8p (+13.4p).

The firm also sold 2519 prime lambs to a top of £83 per head and 178p per kg to average £63.40 and 148p (-1p).

The 686 cast sheep forward saw heavy ewes sell to £105 for Texels and average £58.80, while light ewes peaked at £71 for Cheviots and levelled at £49.38.

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd sold 8 prime heifers in Carlisle yesterday to a top of 253.5p and an average of 209p (+9p), while 24 prime, beef-bred bullocks peaked at 238.5p and levelled at 197.4p (+5.7p).

Three prime, dairy-bred bullocks averaged 126.1p (-22.2p).

Thirty-seven prime, beef-bred bulls sold to 228.5p and averaged 184p (+7.3p), while 30 prime, dairy-bred bulls peaked at 153.5p and levelled at 139.2p (-2.2p).

In the rough ring 92 beef cows averaged 215.5p (+0.4p) and 216 dairy cows levelled at 94.8p (+5.1p). Six bulls averaged 124.2p (+14.7p).

The firm also sold 2470 prime lambs to a top of £87.80 and 200p to average 150.4p (-3.5p).

The 255 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £98 for Texels and £68 for Lleyns.

Eight prime, B&W bullocks sold to 149.5p and averaged 142.1p (-3.6p).

In the rough ring 32 beef cows averaged 124.9p (+0.5p) and 69 dairy cows levelled at 89.1p (-0.4p).

The firm also sold 2405 prime lambs to a top of £81 and 184.5p to average 149.2p (-1.4p).

The 623 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £136.50 for a Texel and £61.50 for Blackfaces.
