78 store heifers are sold at Dumfries

The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart sold 78 store heifers in Dumfries yesterday to a top of 225p per kg and an average of 195.3p, while 101 store bullocks peaked at 242p and levelled at 210.4p.

There were also 54 store B&W bullocks that averaged 178.3p, while two young bulls levelled at 204.3p. John Swan Ltd sold 58 prime bullocks in St Boswells in the Borders yesterday to average 202.4p (-3.6p on the week), while 42 prime heifers levelled at 200p (-5.2p).
