Messrs Craig Wilson Ltd sold 257 store heifers at Ayr on Thursday to a top of £1,265 per head and 258.3p per kg to average £833.42 and 218p, while 322 store, beef-bred bullocks peaked at £1,380 and 268.5p to level at £934.69 and 228.1p.
One-hundred-and-ten store, B&W bullocks sold to £1,000 and 188.7p to average £724.36 and 167.5p.
The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart sold 4951 prime hoggs in Longtown on Thursday to a top of £124 per head and 276p per kg to average 195.1p (+7p on the week).
The firm also had 2940 cast sheep forward when heavy ewes sold to £157 for Texels and averaged £112.80 (+£9.75), while light ewes peaked at £88 for Blackfaces and levelled at £60.12 (-66p). Rams sold to £184 for a Texel and averaged £115.23 (+£6.94).
