Messrs Craig Wilson Ltd sold 336 store heifers at Ayr on Thursday to a top of £1300 per head and 251.9p per kg to average £888.82 and 210.1p, while 382 store, beef-bred bullocks peaked at £1370 and 250.5p to level at £966.35 and 218.3p.
One-hundred-and-thirty-eight store, B&W bullocks sold to £910 and 164.9p to average £747.43 and 150p.
The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart sold 4587 prime lambs in Longtown on Thursday to a top of £100 per head and 244p per kg to average 155.5p (+5.5p on the week).
The firm also had 4897 cast sheep forward when heavy ewes sold to £148 for Texels and averaged £72.97 (+69p), while light ewes peaked at £76 for Lleyns and levelled at £44.85 (+£7.41). Rams sold to £158 for a Texel and averaged £78.57 (+£9.24).
