Tim Green managed a dairy herd at Conrick Farm, near Sanquhar in Dumfriesshire, on behalf of Farmers Weekly before he was moved, 30 years ago, to manage Ferme de Vimer, in Normandy, after the magazine took on the tenancy. He subsequently took over the tenancy for himself and currently milks around 120, mostly Normande, cows that produce milk for a local cheese-maker.
