John Swan sold 34 prime bullocks in St Boswells yesterday to average 206.5p per kg (-4.5p on the week), while 35 prime heifers levelled at 209.6p (-2.6p).
Seven young bulls averaged 196.1p.
In the rough ring, 44 beef-type OTM cattle averaged 146p (+8.7p).
The firm also sold 2415 prime lambs to average 178.9p (-18.2p), while 829 cast ewes levelled at £68.10 (+£2.18).
