Messrs Craig Wilson Ltd sold 1018 prime lambs in Newton Stewart yesterday to a top of £86.50 per head and 195.4p per kg to average 170.4p (-12.9p on the week).
There were also 108 cast sheep forward when ewes sold to £105 for Texels and £55.50 for Blackfaces.
The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had 12 prime cattle forward in Dumfries yesterday when heifers sold to 210p per kg and averaged 208.5p, while a bullock fetched 196p.
There were 66 cattle presented in the rough ring when beef cows averaged 127.2p and dairy cows levelled at 100.9p.
The firm also sold 1084 prime lambs to a top of £85 and 195p to average 171p (-14p).
The 366 cast sheep forward saw heavy ewes sell to £105.50 for Texels and light ewes to £68.50 for Cheviots.
