MESSRS Craig Wilson Ltd sold 1378 prime lambs at Ayr on Monday to a top of £96 per head and 200p per kg to average 176.3p (-0.3p on the week).
There were also 422 cast sheep forward, when ewes sold to £115 for Texels and £65.50 for Blackfaces.
The firm went on to sell eight prime heifers at the same venue yesterday to a top of 228p per kg and an average of 213.1p, while two prime, beef-bred bullocks peaked at 204p and levelled at 203p. Three prime, B&W bulls averaged 123.4p.
In the rough ring, 72 beef cows averaged 124.8p and 96 dairy cows levelled at 99.7p. Six bulls averaged 100.6p and seven clean cattle levelled at 150.6p.
There were also 13 dairy cattle forward that sold to £2380 for a Holstein Friesian heifer and averaged £1633.
Wallets Marts sold 1303 prime lambs in Castle Douglas yesterday to a top of £84 and 215.5p to average 180.9p (+3.4p).
The 306 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £108 for Texels and £51 for Blackfaces, with the overall average levelling at £65.39 (+£5.86).
