Alongside that the 135 store, beef-bred bullocks peaked at 275.8p and levelled at 220.7p.

Seventy-five store, dairy-bred bullocks sold to 172.3p and averaged 148.3p.

John Swan Ltd sold 35 prime heifers in St Boswells yesterday to a top of 250p and an average of 215.5p (+2.9p on the week).

Meanwhile, the 33 prime bullocks on sale peaked at 239p and levelled at 219.5p (+0.5p).

Over in the rough ring the 75 beef-type OTM cattle came in to average at 120.7p (+2.8p).

As well as that the firm also sold 2,044 prime lambs to a top of £93 per head and 209p per kg to average 180.6p (+12p).

The 717 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £105 for Texels and £57 for Blackfaces.

The overall average levelled at £59.89 (-£4.38).

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd sold 22 prime heifers in Carlisle yesterday to a top of 239.5p and an average of 198.1p (+11.5p).

The 33 prime, beef-bred bullocks peaked at 230.5p and then levelled at 193.3p (+3.8p).

The two prime, dairy-bred bullocks on display sold to 145.5p and averaged 145p (+3.8p).

Thirty-three prime, beef-bred bulls sold to 223.5p and averaged 186.3p (-3.7p).

Meanwhile, the 51 prime, dairy-bred bulls peaked at 174.5p and levelled at 142.2p (+7.2p).

In the rough ring 122 beef cows averaged 122.5p (+3.5p) and 184 dairy cows levelled at 80.9p (+1.2p).

Alongside those the 17 bulls averaged 107.4p (+22.3p).

The firm also sold 3,184 prime lambs to a top of £107.80 and 265.3p to average 177.8p (+4.4p).

The 349 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £103.50 for Texels and £73.50 for Hill Cheviots.

They went to a top of £92 and 200.1p to average 172.4p (+11.3p).

The firm also had 641 cast sheep forward when ewes sold to £119 for a pen of Texels and £64 for Blackfaces.

The overall average then levelled at a price of £61.15 (+£6.14).

Lawrie & Symington Ltd sold 18 prime heifers in Lanark yesterday to 251p and an average of 230.4p (+9.2p).

Meanwhile, the seven prime, beef-bred bullocks peaked at 227.5p and levelled at 209.2p (+6.1p).

Nine prime, B&W bullocks sold to 155.5p and averaged 137.9p (-5.1p).

Over in the rough ring the 29 beef cows averaged at 112.2p (+1.4p) and the 21 dairy cows levelled at 69.8p 9-9p).

The three bulls on sale averaged at 96.2p and 10 OTM cattle levelled at 139.2p (+1p).

The firm also sold 2,384 prime lambs on the day to £97 and 215.1p to average 171.5p.

The 568 cast sheep forward saw ewes sell to £123.50 for a Texel and £47.90 for Blackfaces to average £60.70 overall.
