The 12th Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival runs February 6 - 8, staged, as usual at George Square Lecture Theatre in Edinburgh.
This year's programme includes Yosemite-set Valley Uprising, which has won scores of awards at festivals across the world, The Limbless Mountaineer, which tells the story of Edinburgh mountaineer Jamie Andrew's dream of climbing the Matterhorn and Stone Free, featuring solo climber Julian Lines climbing (and falling) in the Highlands. Speakers include Paralympic cyclist Karen Drake and American mountaineer and photographer Cory Richards, who was a high-school drop out aged 14 but found his path through climbing.
