$72bn aerospace orders

The Farnborough International Airshow had seen $72 billion worth of orders.

That is significantly up on the $47bn from 2010 but still shy of the $88.7bn announced in 2008.

ADS – the UK aerospace, defence and security trade organisation – and its subsidiary Farnborough International Ltd revealed the figures on the final trade day yesterday.
