Scottish Business in the Community has launched a post-referendum manifesto calling for businesses to help build an inclusive Scotland.

The independent charity says business shares the nation's responsibility to tackle poverty, improve education and employability, and harness the potential of the workforce, by developing sustainable and responsible business models.

Jane Wood, SBC chief executive, said: "This is a critical time for Scotland as we shape our nation's future. There is an increased role for business in addressing social, environmental and economic issues, and this is fundamental to Scotland's success."

Paul Kelly, a director at Asda, said responding to community needs was "a business imperative".
