The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) wants reform of the National Insurance Contribution holiday scheme at the Conservative Party Conference. The scheme appears to have had limited impact.
Introduced in 2010, the scheme spares businesses from the NIC payments they would usually have to make on the wages of up to 10 staff during their first year in business.
