Curly Wurly blamed for job losses at Cadbury

A £100m Curly Wurly maker took the blame as US food giant Kraft apologised for retracting its promise to keep a Cadbury facility open following its takeover of the British chocolate manufacturer.

Kraft promised yesterday there would be no more plant closures in the UK for two years but said it will shut the Somerdale plant near Bristol because the installation by Cadbury of multi-million-pound equipment in a Polish facility made its previous plans unworkable.
