Hotels in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow saw average room rates decrease in March, according to LJ Research.

Glasgow's fall however was marginal and much slower than elsewhere, while its occupancy rate rose by 5.7points to 82per cent, the highest ever March level for the city. Revenue per room jumped 5.1per cent to £56.45. Occupancy in Aberdeen was 67.6 per cent, down eight points on March 2014 with revenue down 11per cent.
