DUNDEE Waterfront is predicting millions of pounds worth of building projects will start in the city during 2013.

The agency said work on the £45 million V&A is scheduled to begin next year along with a £30m flats development, a new £14 railway station and the conversion of Shed 25 at City Quay into offices.

Alongside those, the £32m Olympia Swimming Pool and new Malmaison Hotel are both expected to be completed next year.

Mike Galloway, Dundee's director of city development, said the waterfront should reach half of its £1bn investment target during 2013.

Allan McQuade, business infrastructure director for Scottish Enterprise, said: "The progress to date has been very encouraging and 2013 promises to be an exciting year."
