FEWER than one in five SMEs who are denied overdrafts or loans are aware of their right to appeal against the decision, a study has found.
In the latest SME Finance Monitor for the Business Finance Task Force, BDRC Continental found only 14% of overdraft applicants and 8% of loan applicants declined since the appeals process was introduced in April 2011 reported being aware of the process.
