In the latest SME Trends survey by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the employers' group found the number of respondents who were less optimistic than they were in the previous three months outweighed those who felt more positive by 20 percentage points.

CONFIDENCE among small and medium-sized manufacturers declined for the third quarter running in the three months to January as orders fell amid concerns about the prospects for the economies the of eurozone and the UK.
