The University of Glasgow and Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research have signed an agreement to develop new more eco-friendly hull designs for large ocean-going vessels.
The collaboration will use modelling and visualisation technologies to design vessels with better fuel efficiency and innovate on features to reduce harmful exhaust emissions. Professor Jonathan Cooper, a university vice-principal, said it was "a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate the reach and impact of our research".
