Marks & Clerk has promoted Paul Chapman to be managing partner of its Edinburgh office.

The partner at the patent attorney firm has more than 20 years of experience and specialises in life sciences.

Mr Chapman replaces Campbell Newell who will continue to be responsible for the trade mark practice across Scotland and take on a wider role developing that across the UK.
