Savills boosts Glasgow team

PROPERTY firm Savills has added to its investment team by appointing Stuart Orr, who joined its Glasgow office as a director.

Mr Orr has joined from FG Burnett, where he spent five years in the Glasgow investment team.

He was head of direct investment in Scotland for DTZ and has also worked for CBRE, Hallandale and King Sturge before that.

Henderson returns to Bilfinger Salamis

MIKE Henderson has returned to Aberdeen-based services contractor Bilfinger Salamis UK in the role of commercial and business development director.

The company said Mr Henderson has been handed a strategic role to develop key services and products, in a bid to deliver cost reduction and efficiency improvements to clients.

He previously worked with BIS Salamis from 1983 to 1991, initially as a project manager before rising to operations manager and then project services manager at APG/Salamis‘ joint venture.

Mr Henderson went on to work for Petrofac for nearly two decades, latterly as commercial director.

He said: “I'm excited to be returning to Bilfinger Salamis and the challenge of an executive leadership role within the business.”

Elanders brings in packaging specialist

ELANDERS Packaging has appointed a business development manager who will be based at its new Bellshill site.

Graeme Leslie joins the Scottish division of Elanders AB, which operates from 36 locations worldwide, with more than a decade of experience in the Scottish drinks industry.

He brings particular experience of contract packaging to the post, having worked in gifting, promotional packaging and fulfilment.

More recently he worked in luxury and premium bespoke packaging, helping customers develop creative and innovative packaging products for gifting, promotions and campaigns.

At 17,500 square feet, Elanders’ new site is three times bigger than its previous premises and is kitted out with digital print and luxury finishing equipment for packaging and labelling.

Mr Leslie said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Elanders. The company is a leader of innovation in the print and packaging industry and is constantly looking for new ways to deliver a premium service to clients. I am looking forward to contributing to and developing tailored print and packaging solutions to clients in the drinks industry, which I know inside out.”
