JANN Brown, one of Scotland’s leading chartered accountants, will become senior independent director of Wood Group in May. The Aberdeen-based oil services giant said Ms Brown will take up the role when the current incumbent, David Woodward, retires from the board at the general meeting on 11 May. Wood’s chairman, Ian Marchant, said Ms Brown would serve the group well. Ms Brown is a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and chief financial officer of Cairn Energy. She has been a non-executive director of Wood Group since 2014 and is chair of the board’s Audit Committee. Mr Marchant said Mr Woodward had been a major influence in Wood Group’s development during his nine years on the board. Jeremy Wilson will succeed Mr Woodward as chair of the group’s Remuneration Committee.
