MOBILE phone recycling company, Redeem, has appointed Paul Adams as chief executive officer. He joins from Glory Global Solutions and replaces Claes Svensson, who is stepping back from an executive role at Redeem following three and a half years as chief executive officer.

Mr Adams joins the Bathgate firm as the company continues to grow strongly, both organically and through acquisitions. Redeem posted group revenues of £80 million last year, having quadrupled in size in four years. Operating in 26 countries, it manages recycling schemes for many major operators, including O2 in the UK.

Mr Adams, who will begin working at Redeem on 18 April, said: "I want Redeem to achieve a clear leadership position in our chosen markets, and for us to be the brand of choice for mobile network operators, manufacturers and consumers alike."
