RSM nets new tax director

FINANCIAL consultancy RSM has appointed Charline Zerbinati as a tax director in its corporate tax practice.

She joins RSM from Worldmark, where she specialised in international tax for its European, Asian and Americas operations, with a particular focus on China.

In her new role, Ms Zerbinati will drive expansion of RSM’s advisory proposition with a specific focus on international tax to mid-market corporates in Scotland and across the UK. She will also assist the corporate finance team on M&A transactions regarding a range of tax issues.

Ms Zerbinati has previously worked for PwC and Deloitte in Scotland and the north east of England.

Alan Aitchison, office managing partner at RSM in Glasgow, said: “Calls for more transparency has led to the biggest shake-up of international tax and Charline’s extensive knowledge will help our clients navigate future changes and deliver expert advisory support to our growing portfolio of mid-market and large corporate clients across Scotland.”

Edinburgh venues set for development boost

ASSEMBLY Rooms Edinburgh has appointed Anna Murricane as business development manager.

The role focuses on driving conference and events bookings at four of the capital’s most high profile venues, including the Usher Hall, Ross Bandstand and Church Hill Theatre.

The portfolio caters for a broad range of functions, for anywhere from ten to 2,300 delegates, and is at the heart of the Fringe Festival each year.

Formerly groups, conference and events sales manager at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, Ms Murricane brings with her over ten years’ experience in the hospitality and events sector. She worked for the Hilton Group for nine years, latterly at The Caledonian, and also at events agency DADA.

Operations uplift for Pyreos

SENSOR developer Pyreos, has recruited Ken Williamson as vice president of operations.

Mr Williamson joins the Edinburgh-based company following an extensive career in semiconductors, working in the UK, Switzerland and Germany.

His roles have included numerous process developments and transfers, product management, quality management, and several roles as operations director. He has also consulted and advised widely in the global semiconductor industry.
